ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Analyst will support the Lender Insurance Services division by assisting in the insurance review process for commercial real estate development and lending industries. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop expertise in commercial insurance and consulting. The Analyst will work closely with consultants, lenders, borrowers, developers, insurance brokers, and legal professionals to ensure seamless insurance compliance and risk assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze insurance certificates and policies for commercial real estate projects
- Prepare comprehensive analysis reports and compliance summaries
- Assist in identifying insurance gaps and coverage deficiencies
- Conduct research on insurance requirements and industry standards
- Support consultants with due diligence activities
- Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for insurance documentation
- Communicate with brokers and stakeholders regarding insurance requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, finance, risk management, insurance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or financial services (considered an asset)
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance is an asset
- Understanding of commercial real estate or lending processes is a plus
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude with client service orientation
